With $349.9M domestically and $549.9M internationally, Disney’s The Jungle Book will surpass the $900 million mark at the global box office today. Its global cume as of June 9 is $899.8M. It is Disney’s third release to surpass $900M this year, following Captain America: Civil War and Zootopia.
The Jungle Book, which received an outstanding 94% Certified Fresh rating on RottenTomatoes and an A CinemaScore from audiences, is the #3 release of 2016 domestically and globally. It is the biggest Hollywood release ever in India and the #1 film of the year in the UK/Ireland. Among Disney Live Action releases, it’s the #2 release of all time domestically and #5 globally and internationally.
The Jungle Book opens in Korea this weekend and in Japan on August 11.
