Get ready to experience life as a pirate, surf in Hawaii, and hunt for hidden treasure as Walt Disney Records releases the Imagination Movers' new album In a Big Warehouse on September 21, 2010. Both kids and parents cannot get enough of the energetic rock and roll style of music that the Imagination Movers offer and they will not be disappointed as the album contains 18 new songs including "You're Getting Stronger," "Slip Slidin'," "When You Grow Up" and many more from the second season of the hit Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel series.
With an Emmy under their belt, and two albums that have become instant favorites of both parents and kids, the Imagination Movers are gearing up for the third season of their Playhouse Disney series, which will include the first-ever televised Imagination Movers concert special. Imagination Movers is a hit with audiences around the world, airing in over 55* countries/territories and in 12 languages since its September 2008 premiere. In the U.S., the series has reached over 46 million unduplicated Total Viewers this year to date.
The Imagination Movers are: Rich Collins, a former journalist and father of five; Scott Durbin, a teacher and father of two; Dave Poche, an architect and father of two; and Scott "Smitty" Smith, a New Orleans firefighter who was part of the Hurricane Katrina search and rescue effort. "Imagination Movers" features the blue-suited band – Rich, Scott, Dave and Smitty – as brain-stormers working hard to solve "idea emergencies" in their Idea Warehouse. Each episode features five songs.
After signing to Walt Disney Records, the Imagination Movers released their debut album Juice Box Heroes in March 2008. The album ranked in the Top 10 on iTunes Children's Music chart. Parenting Magazine awarded it a "Parenting Pick" and Common Sense Media recognized Imagination Movers among the Best TV of 2008, citing the quartet's "addictive sense of humor and quest for fun." Season one's soundtrack, For Those About to Hop, made its leap into stores in July 2009 and was followed with the band's first national 41-city concert tour, Live From The Idea Warehouse Tour.
The smart kid-pop quartet makes a quick wink at Big Country ("In a Big Country") in the title, keeping young fans and their parents on their feet throughout the generous 18-song set. Fun songs such as "Riding the Waves" give kids the experience of riding the Hawaiian waves, and tunes like "Up Up Up" encourage kids to reach for the sky. While celebrating learning, growing and having fun, the Imagination Movers always maintain equal parts funk, hip-hop and sing-along rock with infectious beats and catchy lyrics.
In a Big Warehouse will be available nationwide on September 21, 2010 wherever music is sold.
