Carolyn Wilson currently serves as Senior Vice President, Human Resources for The Walt Disney Studios and Head of Learning for The Walt Disney Company.

As head of HR for The Walt Disney Studios, Carolyn is responsible for all human resources-related services for 6,000 employees. This includes the creation of organization and talent strategies to support business priorities. She also has oversight of recruitment, talent management, diversity and inclusion, organizational development, learning, compensation, workforce insights and employee relations. A prime focus of hers is developing leaders for the future and building a rewarding and engaging culture where creativity, quality and diversity and inclusion are nurtured. During her tenure at The Walt Disney Studios, The Walt Disney Company has acquired Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm, greatly expanding the company’s film portfolio and employee population.

Carolyn joined The Walt Disney Studios in 2002 as a Director of Human Resources. In this role she was responsible for leading talent management and development strategies, and working with leaders to align organizational structure, process and talent with business strategies to optimize the performance of teams and individuals.

In December 2012 Carolyn was named head of learning for The Walt Disney Company in addition to her responsibilities at The Walt Disney Studios. In this role, Carolyn oversees all learning and development efforts and initiatives companywide. She partners with segment and company learning leaders to develop strategies and priorities for all employees in order to drive creativity, quality and diversity and inclusion.

Prior to her work at The Walt Disney Studios, Carolyn spent six years in human resources at Disney Consumer Products and Disney Feature Animation. During her career, she also managed the human resources function, ran customer service, worked on product development at CEIVA Logic, and worked in HR roles at LEK Consulting and ORION Pictures.

Carolyn holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Davidson College in North Carolina. She is passionate about giving back to the community and has spent many years on the board of Pasadena Heritage working to preserve the area’s history for future generations to enjoy.
